The 2019 Mokuola Honua Symposium focused on discussions and formulating strategies of language revitalization and normalization efforts through 4 thematic strands of society; Education, Policy and Government, Media and Business. On Wednesday, November 20th 2019, a series of presenters shared some of their unique language efforts in these specific language domains.

Diego Tituaña, Maurice R. Greenberg Fellow at Yale University. Tituaña, a Kichwa Otavalo from Ecuador, is a diplomat of the Ecuadorian Foreign Service. He was the Facilitator for the United Nation's Resolution on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples from 2014 to 2019. Under his leadership, the United Nation's started two important actions for the indigenous peoples of the world: the process of enhancing their participation at the United Nation's and the Proclamation of 2019 as the International Year of Indigenous Languages.
